Ah yes. I know this is abnormal, and two posts within the same day, but it REALLY had to be posted. From the local news article on it:

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- A 17-year-old Colorado girl is facing a first-degree murder charge, accused by police of hiding her newborn baby in an entertainment center.

Police believe Cheyenne Corbett hid her pregnancy from her parents and delivered the baby in a shower early Sunday. Corbett was taken to the hospital for bleeding and workers called police after determining she had given birth.

The best part about it is the girl, Cheyenne Corbett, has a MySpace profile. Scroll down and you'll notice she specified she didn't want kids. I guess people on myspace actually DO tell the truth sometimes.

I wonder which one of her "friends" knocked her up.

Yep, after being spotted at a gay club, Lance Bass finally comes out. He explains:

"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything," he tells the magazine.

From a person who's been in online community moderation, management, and creation for his entire online life, I think I need to just get a few things out of my system about why I hate most MySpace profiles, and by most I probably mean yours as well. Don't hate me, ok? This has to be done for the sake of sanity so that I don’t go apeshit.

Yay... finally someone's standing up to those fuckwad Boy Scouts. From AP's article:

PHILADELPHIA - The city plans to evict a Boy Scouts council from its city-owned headquarters or have the group pay a fair rent price unless it stops discriminating against gays.

... as it should be. For those who don't know, the Boy Scouts of America currently doesn't like gay people in their ranks, and discharges any openly gay boys or leaders. This would be fine if they were an unsubsidized organization, as this is how several private conservative Christian universities get away with banning black people, women, and of course gays from joining their ranks.

The problem is that the Boy Scouts organization is basically grandfathered in from when they weren't led by Mormon moralistic homophobia, so thus they DO receive public funding, particularly through operating and meeting in city-owned buildings for free. Therefore, the problem arises: why am I forced to contribute my tax dollar to funding the operations of an openly discriminatory organization? Philadelphia's laudable solution follows-- force the fuckers to pay rent, or evict their tight, homophobic asses from city-operated buildings.

Yes, it's true: small children, like dogs, can sense evil.
