The Absolute Best Picture of the Midterms

With a decent majority in the House and waiting on an undecided Senate, Democrats have suddenly become happier.

Of particular joy for me was the ejection of Rick "Gays Destroy Families" Santorum from his high horse:

Ahh, what a wonderful world it is. Don't worry, Rick. Long after you've tested positive for methamphetamine, fucked a sixteen year old boy, and been outted by a male escort, you will go down in history for all the things you've done for your state. You'll join the prestigious ranks of Strom Thurmond, General Nathan Bedford Forrest, Adolf Hitler, and all of the other WASPs who thought just like you. Who knows, maybe in your afterlife where hate is applauded you'll find them golf clapping your time spent on earth.

All I know is that for the time being, Mr. Santorum, your daughter's tears brought by utter defeat in the face of your eternally-smug, soulless smile bring me joy on a level that is both scary and profoundly satisfying.
